Richea pandanifolia is a tall palm like species with leaves that are densely crowded towards the top of the trunk and cream or pink flowers that occur in cluster in summer. Typically grows on a single stem but may be occasionally branched. It has tapering leaves 1.5 metres long on the larger specimens and like all richeas the base of the leaf wraps completely around the stem.
Native to the wet mountain forests of Tasmania, prefers a well-composted moist soil in a protected shaded position, frost resistant but drought tender.
