This could quite possibly be the ultimate poppy collection that delivers a fantastic, colourful display. Pretty Wild Seeds brings together four different species in Shirley Double Mixed, Red Field Poppy, Victoria Cross and finished off with Californian Poppy. A selection put together for its ease to grow and the fact that they will self-seed if allowed, giving a great display year after year.
Pretty Wild Seeds are registered with the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA) under number 7529, so you can have confidence in both our products and advice. Sowing; Sow outdoors, March-May or August-October, where they are to flower, 0.5cm (¼") deep, directly into finely-prepared, well-drained soil, which has already been watered. Seedlings usually appear in 14-28 days. Thin them to 20cm (8") apart and water well until plants are established. For a continuous display, make sowings at two to three-week intervals. Sowings made in curves, rather than straight lines, often create a more pleasing effect. Late summer and autumn sowings will flower the following year, often earlier than spring sowings.
Flowers: June to September.
