A lettuce based blend, with colourful Red Batavia, Green Batavia and Cerbiatta forming the base, then Endive Soldata for a continental flavour, salad rocket Dentellata and Cress Greek for spice , and the mild oriental leaf Mizuna for body.
Our Salad leaf mixes are selected from varieties with comparable growth rates to provide interesting and tasty babyleaf salads which are ideal for home consumption or farm shop sales. They can be grown in open ground or under protection .
Lettuce is hardy and can be planted as soon as the soil can be worked. Can be direct seeded to a depth of 1/8 inch, and firm soil gently. Or can be started indoors 2 to 3 weeks before last frost. Also can be sown in the autumn for a late harvest.
Pretty Wild Seeds are registered with the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA) under number 7529, so you can have confidence in both our products and advice. Although our products are listed in weights and acres, we can supply in additional quantities upon enquiry so if you need a larger supply, please don't hesitate to give us a call.
