Ever wondered how the top football clubs all have great pitches, even when it's cold weather? Let us tell you a little secret! They use a special blend of grass seed, just like our Cool Start mix. With 60% Colosseum Perennial Rye Grass, 10% Centurian Perennial Rye Grass and 30% Doubletime Tetraploid it's been specially formulated for use at low soil temperature and can germinate and grow in soil temperatures down to 3 degrees.
The benefits of this are it's rapid to germinate and establish, extremely fast growing with high wear tolerance and is also drought tolerant. It's gives great all year-round colour with a high resistance to disease too.
Sowing rate: 35-70 grams per m2
Oversowing: 20-35 grams per m2
